
Chicken Noodle Soup or Chicken Stew
A simple chicken noodle soup built on cream of chicken soup — from the 2008 Elkin Soup Off.

Instructions
- Cover the chicken with water, add the salt, and simmer until done.
- For chicken stew, prepare as directed without the noodles. For noodle soup, in a separate saucepan cook the egg noodles as directed on the package.
- Cut the chicken with kitchen shears into bite-size pieces and return it to the water it was cooked in.
- Add the cream of chicken soup and continue simmering for 5-10 minutes.
- Add the milk, then the egg noodles, and simmer (do not boil) for 5 more minutes until hot.
