Afgan Rice
Ingredients
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 1 3/4 cups water
- 1 1/2 Tbsp Butter
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Ground Cardamom
- 1/2 tsp Cumin
Instructions
- Rinse the rise using a strainer or rice basket dunked in water. Stir the rice around to release the starches then pour off the water and repeat 4-8 times until the water is clear. DO NOT SKIMP ON THIS RiNSING!
- Bring all ingredients to a boil. Then stir and cover.
- Reduce heat to low and let is cook for 15-20 minutes.
